Description

The substance is a white powder or crystal with certain physical and chemical properties. Its relative density is 2.534, and it has a melting point of 880℃ and a boiling point of 938℃. The appearance of this substance can be described as colorless transparent crystal or white crystalline powder. It readily dissolves in water, with a solubility of 6.23 in 100 grams of water at 20°C, resulting in an alkaline aqueous solution. On the other hand, it does not dissolve in alcohol. The aqueous solution maintains its stability below 70°C but undergoes hydrolysis into disodium hydrogen phosphate when boiled. When exposed to dry air, it undergoes weathering and loses crystal water when heated to 100°C. This substance also has a tendency to absorb moisture from the air, leading to its deliquescence. Additionally, it has the ability to form complexes with alkaline earth metal ions and can generate white silver pyrophosphate when in the presence of Ag+.

This substance exhibits the ability to undergo complex reactions with metal ions. When in a 1% aqueous solution, its pH range falls between 10.0 to 10.2. As with other polymeric phosphates, it possesses general properties such as emulsifying and dispersing, as well as protection against fat oxidation and protein binding improvement. It can also help to prevent the oxidation and fermentation of food products at high pH levels.

An emulsifier plays a crucial role in maintaining the stability of an emulsion by helping water and oil to remain mixed together.

Gelling agents or thickening agents play a crucial role in increasing the viscosity of liquids, resulting in a more textured consistency. These substances are specifically designed to thicken various liquids, allowing them to achieve a desired texture and consistency. By incorporating gelling agents or thickening agents into a liquid, it undergoes a transformation from a thin, watery substance to a thicker and more substantial texture. This can be particularly useful in certain culinary applications, where a thicker texture is desired to enhance the overall mouthfeel and sensory experience of a dish. Gelling agents and thickening agents are widely used in various industries such as food production, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals. They offer a versatile and effective means of achieving the desired thickness and texture in a wide range of liquid-based products.

3. Drugs - used to treat, alleviate, cure or prevent disease. A drug officially declared by a government drug regulatory agency.

Chelating agents have the ability to remove metals that may be toxic or undesirable by binding to them. These agents work by forming stable complexes with the metals, facilitating their removal from the system.

Acidity regulators, also known as buffers, are substances used to alter or uphold the pH level of food and cosmetics. These regulators play a crucial role in maintaining the desired acidity or alkalinity of various products.
Their primary function is to control and stabilize the pH, which is a measure of the acidity or alkalinity of a substance. By incorporating acidity regulators, manufacturers can ensure that their products have the appropriate pH levels for taste, preservation, and overall quality.
Acidity regulators can either increase or decrease the pH, depending on the specific requirements of the product. For instance, in some foods, acidity regulators are used to enhance tartness and provide a refreshing sensation. In contrast, in certain cosmetic products, these regulators are employed to create a gentle and soothing effect on the skin.
Regardless of the application, acidity regulators play a vital role in maintaining the desired pH balance. Without these buffers, food and cosmetic products could undergo undesirable changes in texture, taste, color, and shelf life.
In conclusion, acidity regulators, also termed as buffers, are indispensable in the food and cosmetics industry. Their ability to alter or maintain pH levels ensures that products meet quality standards and provide the desired sensory experience to consumers.

TSPP, commonly referred to as Tetrasodium pyrophosphate or TSPP, serves multiple purposes in various industries. Primarily, it acts as a flavor enhancer, adding a distinct taste to various ingredients. Additionally, this compound finds application as a tartar control agent in toothpaste formulations. For convenient handling and storage, TSPP is usually packaged in 25kg plastic woven bags or kraft paper bags.
